What does a B2B SaaS marketing agency do?

A B2B SaaS marketing agency builds and runs the programs that turn a software company's target market into qualified pipeline: positioning, demand generation, paid media, conversion paths and the reporting that connects them to revenue.

Digital Trax covers the parts of that work that produce pipeline you can measure:

What we doWhat it includes
ICP and messagingDefine the accounts and buying committee you sell to, then the message and offer for each stage of the funnel
Demand captureGoogle Ads for buyers already searching for your category, competitors and alternatives
Demand creationLinkedIn Ads and Meta Ads to reach buyers before they search, including account-based campaigns for named target lists
Landing pagesLanding pages built for each offer (free trial, demo, content), then tested against each other to raise conversion rates
MeasurementTracking from first click to closed deal, with CRM stages sent back to each ad platform
ReportingPipeline-first reporting your CEO and head of sales can read in five minutes

Why does B2B SaaS marketing stop producing pipeline?

B2B SaaS marketing usually stops producing pipeline when marketing and sales measure different things. Marketing reports leads, sales reports deals, and nobody can show which campaigns produced revenue.

The pattern shows up in a few ways:

Lead volume rises while SQLs stay flat.

Campaigns are tuned to the cheapest form fill, so the ad platforms find people who download content but never buy.

The funnel does not match the sales motion.

A product-led company runs demo-only campaigns, or an enterprise product puts a trial button in front of buyers who need a sales conversation.

Existing demand goes unworked.

Trial users, past demo requests and website visitors from target accounts get no follow-up while budget goes to cold audiences.

Strategy and execution sit with different people.

A consultant writes the plan and leaves, or an agency assigns a junior account manager who follows the plan without the experience to adjust it.

How should B2B SaaS marketing match your sales motion?

Match the conversion you ask for to how your customers buy. Self-serve products should drive trials, sales-led products should drive demos and SQLs, and hybrid models need both with separate budgets.

Sales motionPrimary conversionChannels that usually leadMetric we optimize toward
Self-serve (product-led)Free trial or freemium sign-upGoogle Ads, Meta AdsCost per trial, trial to paid rate
HybridTrial for smaller accounts, demo for larger onesGoogle Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta remarketingCost per demo, cost per paid customer
Sales-led (mid-market and enterprise)Demo request or meeting with target accountsLinkedIn Ads, Google Ads on high-intent termsCost per SQL, pipeline from target accounts

TeamGantt is a hybrid example. Construction trial users with higher revenue saw demo-focused ads, and smaller accounts were moved toward purchase. The results are below.

What results has Digital Trax delivered for B2B SaaS companies?

TeamGantt booked 400+ demos at $42 per demo from existing trial users, and AcuityMD grew SQLs 20% in six months.

Project management SaaS

TeamGantt: 400+ demos at $42 per demo from existing trial users

TeamGantt is a project scheduling platform. Construction companies were already signing up for free trials through organic search, but those trial users were not being worked.

Rather than buying new search traffic, we built a segmented Meta remarketing program for construction trial users. Users were split by company revenue and Procore usage: companies with $5M+ in revenue and Procore users saw demo-focused creative, and lower-intent users saw re-engagement content. YouTube carried customer testimonial videos, and conversion tracking was rebuilt so Meta optimized toward purchases.

Results over 12 months:

  • 400+ demos booked at $42 per demo
  • 1,811 new construction free trials
  • 230 direct purchases

MedTech SaaS

AcuityMD: 20% more SQLs in six months for a MedTech SaaS platform

AcuityMD sells commercial intelligence software to medical device companies, with a narrow and senior buyer. We built a full-funnel program on LinkedIn Ads and Meta Ads, activated AcuityMD's target account list on both channels, and focused bottom-of-funnel budget on demo requests.

Result: SQLs increased 20% over six months.

How do you choose a B2B SaaS marketing agency?

Choose a B2B SaaS marketing agency on four things: SaaS-specific proof, who runs your account day to day, whether reporting reaches pipeline, and whether the agency's channels match how your buyers find you.

Questions to ask any agency you are evaluating, including us:

  1. Can you show SaaS results measured in SQLs, pipeline or paid customers?

Click and lead numbers are easy to show. Pipeline numbers require tracking most agencies never set up.

  2. Who will run my account after the sales call?

Ask for the name and experience of the person making weekly decisions.

  3. How will you connect ad spend to my CRM?

The answer should cover sending CRM stages, such as SQLs and closed deals, back to the ad platforms, not only UTM tags.

  4. Do your channels fit my sales motion?

Search works when buyers already look for your category. LinkedIn works when buyers are defined by title and company. An agency that runs only one channel will fit only one of those cases.

  5. Who owns the ad accounts, data and creative?

    It should be you.

  6. What will you need from my team each week?

Sales feedback on lead quality matters more than any other input.

Should you hire an agency, a consultant or build in-house?

Hire an agency when you need strategy and execution without building a team. Hire a consultant when you have people to execute but need direction. Build in-house once spend and channel mix are stable enough to justify full-time specialists.

OptionWorks best whenCommon gap
In-house teamSpend is high and channels are provenHard to hire senior specialists in every channel
Marketing consultantYou have an execution team and need a planPlans stall without hands to run them
Traditional agencyYou need capacity across many channelsSenior people sell the work, junior people run it
Hybrid consultancy (Digital Trax)You need senior strategy and hands-on execution from the same peopleNarrower scope: paid demand generation rather than full-service brand and content

Digital Trax started as a fix for that gap. Our founder, Shlomo, saw agencies hand new clients to junior marketers and consultants write plans they could not execute, so we do both with senior people.

Is Digital Trax the right B2B SaaS marketing agency for you?

Digital Trax fits B2B SaaS companies that spend at least $3,000 per month on ads, want marketing measured on pipeline, and want a senior strategist running the account.

We are a good fit if:

  • You sell B2B software with a defined buyer, from self-serve SMB to enterprise.
  • You spend $3,000 to more than $150,000 per month on ads, or plan to. Each month needs enough spend to reach statistically significant results.
  • You can share pipeline data from your CRM, such as HubSpot, so we can optimize toward revenue.
  • Your sales team will give feedback on lead quality, about an hour a week across your team.

We are probably not the right fit if:

  • You need brand or content production as the main service.
  • You want reporting on impressions and clicks alone.

What happens in the first 90 days?

The first 90 days produce a working tracking setup, a tested set of campaigns and landing pages, and enough conversion data to decide where to put more budget.

TimingWhat happens
Weeks 1 to 2Audit of accounts, tracking and CRM data. ICP, offers and sales motion agreed with your team.
Weeks 3 to 4Tracking and CRM connections fixed. Landing pages built for each offer. Campaigns rebuilt or launched by funnel stage.
Months 2 to 3Structured tests on audiences, offers, creative and landing pages, each with win or kill criteria. Budget moves toward campaigns producing SQLs.
After 90 daysScale what works, cut what does not, and report monthly on pipeline and cost per SQL.

B2B SaaS Marketing Agency FAQs

How much does a B2B SaaS marketing agency cost?

Cost has two parts: the agency's fee and your media budget. At Digital Trax, clients spend from $3,000 to more than $150,000 per month on ads, and our fee is scoped to the channels and spend involved. Ask any agency to separate its fee from media spend so you can compare proposals.

What is the difference between demand generation and lead generation for SaaS?

Lead generation collects contact details. Demand generation builds interest among the accounts that can buy, then converts it into qualified pipeline. A SaaS company can generate many leads and little pipeline, which is why we measure SQLs and pipeline rather than lead volume.

How long does it take a B2B SaaS marketing agency to show results?

Expect leads and trials in the first weeks and enough data to make scaling decisions within 60 to 90 days. SQLs and closed revenue take longer because they follow your sales cycle.

Should a B2B SaaS company hire an agency or build an in-house team?

Hire an agency when you need senior strategy and execution across several channels without hiring for each one. Build in-house once your channel mix and spend are stable enough to justify full-time specialists. Many companies use an agency first, then bring proven channels in-house.

Which industries does Digital Trax work with?

Our B2B SaaS clients include project management, MedTech, HealthTech and pharma commercial intelligence software, including TeamGantt, AcuityMD and ODAIA. Outside SaaS, we work with healthcare services, dental supply and ecommerce brands.

Do you build landing pages?

Yes. We build a landing page for each offer, such as a free trial, a demo request or a content download, and test versions against each other. Landing page tests run alongside audience and creative tests, so budget moves to the combination that produces SQLs.

Who owns the ad accounts, data and creative?

You do. Your ad accounts, audiences, conversion data and all creative we produce belong to your company. We work inside your accounts with admin access, so everything stays with you if we part ways.
